The Perinatal NP
About Our Founder
Yolande McCray, MSN, FNP-C, PMH-C
Yolande McCray is a self-proclaimed lifelong learner and lover of all people. She attended The University of Central Florida in Orlando where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Service Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She moved back to Miami and attended Barry University where she obtained her Master of Science in Nursing Education. Striving to redefine healthcare, one patient at a time, she obtained her Master of Science degree and Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
Mrs. McCray has over 15 years of Labor and Delivery experience and is an advocate for pregnant and postpartum mothers. Her recent work in psychiatry prompted her to study Maternal Mental Health. She obtained her certification in Perinatal Mental Health to bridge the gap and dissolve racial disparities for women who are experiencing postpartum depression, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, infertility and perinatal loss. She believes that, “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” ~ Ghandi
